The History Behind Our Success

The original founder of The 1983 Group formally TRIMCO  Frank Schilagi is a published author with many years of experience in the hotel industry. During that time, we found there is an opportunity in supporting other local businesses with breakroom appliances and maintenance services, similar to hotel, lobby, and room appliances. By finding the right client base, our company was able to succeed and provide exemplary service for continued partnership throughout the years.


In the 80's, we realized that one of the hotels we owned consistently had the least capital requests from the rest of the hotels. We found that the preventative maintenance program developed by the Hotel's Engineer was responsible for the over 24% decrease in capital replacement costs. We spoke with Frank Linker and we created TRIMCO, now called The 1983 Group. Since 1983 we have provided to our clients with the savings associated with the professional preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement services we offer. This year brings new and exciting advancement in the programs available to our clients.
